The wine is pale straw in colour with a clear hue. On the palate the wine shows classic varietal characters of fresh citrus, guava and gooseberry as well as a hint of guava. The acid structure of the wine is complemented by high fruit intensity that delivers great balance and length of flavour.

    Pleasant tasting wine

I actually don't mind this wine at all. Its just different, and it is not a rough wine by any measure. The special price makes it even more attractive.

More like a Semilion Sav Blanc

Posted by Peter on 15th Apr 2018

Not bad for the price but this is not at all like NZ Sav Blanc's. It is much drier, and more like a Semilon Sav Blanc to my taste. As such, not sure I would re-order but only because I prefer the NZ styles of Sav Blanc.

    Loved the wine

I also usually go for the same wines, not venturing too far from what I have tried previously. But the Amberley Secret Lane Sauv Blanq is a really a very good wine & I certainly will look for it again as I am enjoying every glass .

    Nice White - Right Price!

Posted by Sue on 12th Nov 2015

I usually go for the same couple of high end whites. I only drink white and tend to stay on the Margaret River. Usually pay about $30 a bottle. Saw an email come through from the guys at Our Cellar for this product and thought I'd give it a try. Now, I am no connoisseur, but I like a nice white. This really hit the mark and it's cheap enough for the 'drop-in' crowd. From the Margaret River too, but at a good price point and smooth in the mouth. Light, and not overly full. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Nice with food too. The service from the Our Cellar team always brings me back. They offer great products, but their customer service is amazing. Thanks for this one, and for broadening my horizon!!
