Vintage 2021
95 points
This is a slick operation. It's storybook value, impossible to beat at this price. 95 Points Langhorne Creek fruit sourced from estate and specialist growers; 51/43/6% shiraz/cabernet sauvignon/malbec, nine months in French puncheons (10% new). This is a slick operation. It's storybook value, impossible to beat at this price. It's a (decorous) fruit bomb with silky tannins and plums, the malbec pulling a stunt with much more to taste than its volume suggests. The score is designed to encourage as many people as possible to give it a go. 2024 Halliday Wine Companion, 06 Jul 2023
A blend of Shiraz, Cabernet and Malbec from South Australia's Langhorne Creek. This wine shows a masculine, almost brooding character that's uncommon for a wine priced so low. It's dark berry, floral pastille and vanilla aromas show very good delineation and carry onto the palate. Supple and fine-grained, this outstanding value finishes with slow-building tannins and a late jolt of bitter cherry. Give it a little air and serve it alongside a strongly seasoned piece of grilled meat.
