Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir grapes are grown around the world, mostly in cooler regions and mainly associated with the Bugundy region in France where it is used to produce some of the finest wines in the world. In Australia, Pinot Noir is grown in most regions, but is particularily prevalent in Yarra Valley and Geelong in Victoria, Tasmania, Adelaide Hills in South Australia and the Great Southern region in Western Australia. In Australia, Pinot Noir produces wines of light to medium body which are often described as having flavours of cherries, strawberries, currents and have smooth acidity and soft tannins.
