Vintage 2023
The Château Barossa Valley Shiraz is an opulent, full-bodied wine with lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberry and cracked pepper supported by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. The extensive finish is framed by elegant fruit and fine-grained tannins. The fruit is hand-picked from select rows of the 12 ha Vine Vale vineyard at 280m elevation and matured for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. It will drink well now, or put it in the cellar for medium-term.
