Vintage 2024
Decanter 'Best in Show Trophy'
97 Points Decanter World Wine Awards
'...an excellent pinot noir.' 94 Points. Deep colour with some purple in the meniscus; the bouquet bold and showing sousbois, foresty and oaky aromas. In the mouth it has richness and weight, sweet fruit core backed by substantial fine, powdery tannins, the finish dry and gently firm. It's already starting to build some tertiary complexity: an excellent pinot noir. The Real Review, 08 Jul 2026
The warmer vintage is noticeable with a shift towards riper cherry, cranberry and hints of plum while still retaining the hallmark Asian spice to add complexity along with some vanillin softness. There is a density to the aromas that takes time to fully unwind in its youth, so worth opening 1-2 hours earlier to allow these to develop. The palate has a softness to the entry, with a fleshy ripe cherry flesh texture balanced with fine natural acidity and silky tannins, giving focus through the palate and into a long fruit driven finish. With opening, savoury notes will develop to further enhance the complexity.
