'This is a lavishly textured pinot of considerable power.' 94 Points. The 24 vintage in Marlborough resulted in some high-quality fruit, albeit with lower yields, meaning the concentration and flavour were impressive. The pinot comes from vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere valleys in Marlborough.
The colour is quite brilliant with crimson hues. This is a lavishly textured pinot of considerable power. The aromas of dark cherry and a little raspberry with some subtle truffly earthy undertones are engaging immediately. The chalky fine tannins, that little bit of natural acidity and some almost understated oak weave perfectly together to carry the wine through to an impressively long finish.
