First made back in 1997, the Prodigal from Clare Valley is a sentimental favourite in the Kilikanoon portfolio and continues to set the standard for Clare Valley old vine Grenache. On the nose, you'll find elevated scents of dark cherries, potpourri, subtle smoky oak notes, and marzipan. The palate is fresh and lively while maintaining a dark and brooding character. The blend of ripe cherries, dark chocolate, spices, and kirsch balances well with the fine chalky tannins and oak influences, resulting in a long and flavourful finish.
