La Vieille Ferme Rose (aka 'The Chicken Wine') has everything you would expect from a good French rosé wine. Fruit, freshness and a beautiful soft colour. It's ideal as an aperitif or with a meal amongst friends in the sunshine.

A blended rosé from Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah (Shiraz), it's pretty pale pink in colour with pastel undertones. Fresh and very aromatic on the nose, this wine has a delicate bouquet with notes of red fruits like currants and cherries, and citrus. Good balance between sweetness and acidity in the mouth. We find notes of fresh fruit with beautiful persistence.

    One of the best rose wine I have had. Crisp, dry, not cloyingly sweet at all. Delight to have on warm summer evenings. And the price here so reasonable.

    Lovely wine to enjoy all year round. I mix with mineral water and ice when it’s hot to make a spritz and without ice when it’s cooler temperatures.

    Easy drinking. Maybe too easy

    I got a carton of this after trying a single bottle from our local bottlo. Typical of French Rose it’s easy drinking and doesn’t have the harshness of Australian roses. I thought I hated rose until I tried the French one.
