Deep red with inky hues. Aromas of raspberry and red cherries flourish before leading to spicy pepper and soft oak flavours on the palate, with a long yet soft, earthy finish.

This is an ample red of corduroy-textured, plush, dark fruit characters. It’s generous in its blackcurrant, plum and dusty oak flavours with a bouquet that reflects a similar personality. There’s a good ripple of espresso-like, palate-sticking tannins to close. Those seeking a red of amplitude for quaffing will find this most appealing.”

It tastes of blackberry, asphalt, dust and toasty oak, a (modest but important) run of sweeter dark chocolate coming through as it breathes. It wouldn’t stand up in all company but with the asking price factored in, this is pretty handy quality; particularly if served in tandem with a good steak.”
