Vintage 2022

Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot. Medium to full bodied in colour and density with aromas of red cherry, spice and earthy edges. Mid weight palate with some Cabernet Sauvignon Cedar up front that leads to soft Shiraz richness. The Oak regime is mainly older American and French so limited impact although some vanilla on both nose and palate with a long sweet finish.

    Well Blended Wine that never lets you down, and at a very good price. You can drink it while "watching" cricket or out on the town at a fancy restaurant, easy to drink, full of flavour and very consistent.

    It is some years since my last purchase of this wine and it did not let me down. Very acceptable Red blend at a fabulous price
