Vintage 2020

Dark-red to purple, bright and alive. Inviting. Traces of distant dark chocolate flirt around an expanding aroma of blackberry and freshly bottled Cassis. Spearmint. Folds of gentle menthol and Summer's early tomato foliage. Bay leaf and black pepper freshly milled. Older French Oak's bouquet is sewn into a hidden jacket pocket. Long and strong and upright with cabernets sauvignon's full sail on show. Sour blackberry and bright mulberry; textural and firm tannins that seem to cry out "Scotch Fillet!". More late night Officers' Mess than midday Parade Ground. Clean, clear and lingering acidity that speaks in unison with the innate tannins.
