A household name in Italy and a cult hit abroad, Fernet-Branca also made its name as one of the popular drink in Argentina. Its thick, bitter flavour and spices, makes it something of an acquired taste. It was said to contain more than 27 different herbs and spices including aloe, rhubarb, and saffron, sourced from four continents. Popular served at room temperature or over ice. Great mixing with Cola or soda water as a very refreshing long drink in Summer

    And now for something completely different

    Glad to find it at Our Cellar and at best price.Although an Italian spirit,it is when mixed with Coke the de facto national drink of Argentina.Some may find it somewhat medicinal in taste and a little bitter and it is true,it may be an aquired taste but it is very much to my liking.And don’t forget to try out some of the recipes in James Hamilton Patterson’s novel” Cooking With Fernet Branca”!One thing is certain,there is nothing else like it.
