Vintage 2025

Kumeu Village Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown in vineyards around the Kumeu area, it is a wild yeast ferment Chardonnay with 100% whole bunch pressing and malo. One third is barrel fermented and the whole package seeks to highlight the white peach and flintiness that makes the area famous.

    If I served this wine to my wine friends, told them it was Kumeu and asked them which one, they’d guess it’d be the Estate, which is twice the price. Seriously classy, stylish and elegant, it glides across the tongue with a silken touch, offering fresh white peaches and restrained cashews. Oak takes a backseat. You get a lot of fine polish for your money here, and perfect pitch. 95 points.
