What is Prosecco?

Prosecco is a Sparkling white wine made from the Glera grapes. Traditionally Prosecco is from the Veneto region in Italy, however you often find Australian wine producers also calling their sparkling wine Prosecco.

Yes. Prosecco is a sparkling wine from Italy. It's made in a similar style to Champagne, however the method to make Prosecco is called the Charmat Method or "Metodo Martinotti" as the Italians call it. The bubbles are achieved by using large stainless steel tanks during fermentation.
