Vintage 2024
Located in Mclaren Vale (just a 45-minute drive south of Adelaide in the heart of one of Australia's oldest and most acclaimed wine region) Mclaren Vines was established in 1996 growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Grenache, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Riesling Sauvignon Blanc & Frontignac.
Today, planted or grafted, only to Red Varieties (Grenache, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Graciano and Nero d’Avola). Moving out of being solely grape growers to producing the inaugural release of 2024 The Grocer’s Gamble Grenache named after the founder Giovanni and his desire to take a risk.
The Grocer’s Gamble single vineyard Grenache is crafted from grapes grown on the family estate, nestled in the acclaimed McLaren Vale. Our vineyard has been growing Grenache since 1972, and this release marks a significant milestone. From the moment we picked the grapes, we knew we had something special. Florals and red fruits jump from the glass with a dash of spice, blood orange, herbs, and a meaty umami note. Medium-bodied, fine, and flavorful, this is a delicious wine.
