Founded in 1870 by Jamie Torres, today the Bodegas Torres is considered to be one of the world’s great wine families producing wines from across Spain, Chile and California. Torres has 1700 hectares on vines in Catalonia, which provides about one quarter of the companies production. Torres produce some of the world’s most famous Spanish wines, names such as Torres Sangre de Toro, Torres Viña Sol and Torres Coronas have introduced many a wine-lover to the wines of Spain and continue to provide delight as they have travelled onwards in their journey through wine. Torres is a member of the Primum Familiae - a collective of the world's finest wine families including Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Antinori, Pol Roger, Hugel and Tenuta San Guido.
