Vintage 2021

Vineyard & Region: Fruit sourced from the Riverina.

Colour: Intense deep crimson with vibrant purple hue.

Bouquet: An aromatic blood plum and dark chocolate nose with an array of ripe blackberries, supported by toasty American oak.

Palate: A full bodied palate with big rich characters, encompassing a tannic mouth feel of vanillin and coconut combined with sweet fruit and warm alcohol. Winemakers Comment: Durif is a red wine originally sourced from France. The berries produced are small and concentrated and performs best in warm, sunny areas and that is why Calabria Wines has so much success with it. The wine produced is full flavoured with intense colour & high tannins & will age well.

Paired this Durif with mixed mushroom gnocchi, blue cheese sauce (non animal rennet). Magnificent

This is the best durif we have found. Not had a bad vintage yet.

    A trusted favourite

Posted by Rick Durham on 7th Jul 2020

Calabria (former West End Wines) have been a favourite of mine for years.. The 3 Bridges Durif is one of the best durifs around, and a great price as well!!! Enjoy it if you can get your hands on it!

    Delicious!

What a great red wine - just love it. Usually drink Shiraz, but this is comparable

Is 3 Briggs Durif a Step up from Shiraz?

Posted by Garry Scriven on 1st Jun 2020

Always enjoyed Cab Sav. Started drinking Shiraz as the preferred red. Found 3Bridges, and have enjoyed it for many years now, as my red of choice. To my taste it has a stronger more rounded flavour not dissimilar to Shiraz but one rung higher on the enjoyment ladder I don't know much about wine appreciation, I do know what taste I like. 3Bridges suits me very nicely, and, friends to whom I have introduced 3Bridges, without exception have been delighted with the taste.

    An easy to drink drop!

Posted by Lu Regan on 20th Sep 2018

This durif is smooth and very easy to drink. A really good wine from the Riverina and a great price too. Cheaper than the cellar door at Calabria in Griffith. I'll be getting more ;)

    very drinkable

Posted by Mike Mamma on 17th May 2018

i believe this is a good example of a Durif, very intense, bold and good depth - drinkable immediately but also better with age. Very well priced also - Thanks

A bit light for a durif

Posted by Debra Grogan on 5th Jan 2017

This is a nice wine, but is lacking the depth of a good durif. Maybe a few years will help it.
