Vintage 2022

The d'Arenberg Footbolt Shiraz from McLaren Vale has a lifted and aromatic nose with notes of luscious plum and red berry. The palate is soft with flavours of mulberry, pomegranate, dried herbs and some earthy tones. It concludes with some firm tannin and gentle acidity that is a little wild and rustic. Pair with steak or grilled meat, even some sharp cheese.

    Wouldn’t buy this vintage

    Purchased this wine while visiting The winery early 2021. However it was a 2012 vintage. The 2012 vintage was truly amazing. Full bodied very easily drinkable. I wanted more. This vintage (2018) was a little disappointing. Not as smooth. Probably light to medium bodied. I Have another bottle to drink but I probably wouldn’t buy another.
