"A pristine and very attractive viognier." Bright, medium to light yellow colour, with a most attractive clean, fresh fragrance of jasmine and gardenia, perhaps even a touch of lychee. The wine is intense and fills the mouth with flavour, yet retains delicacy and refinement. There is a faint dab of sweetness and a trace of grip that persists, but no bitterness. 92 POINTS Fleshy and correct Viognier. 'Here I am this is what Yalumba Viognier looks like’. Eden Valley fruit that spends time in older oak. Fleshy and correct Viognier with just a little bottle development plumping things out. It’s a pretty fresh style this year – it’s more peach juice and even a little podgy. Pure aromas reminiscent of fresh apricots, lifted ginger and fresh white flowers. The palate is long and silky, with luscious textures, stone fruit flavours, a hint of exotic saffron and finishing with an alluring freshness.
